Terms of service
The agreement between you and Invites
Last updated: September 4, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Invites, a digital invitation service run by a small business based in Louisiana, United States. By creating an invitation or paying for one you accept them. We wrote them to be readable; if anything is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.
1. What the service is
Invites lets you build a wedding (or save-the-date, birthday or thôi nôi) invitation from one of our templates, host it at a web link, give each guest a personal link, collect RSVPs, manage a guest list and seating chart, and use our free planning tools. Every invitation starts as a free 3-day trial limited to 20 guests; paying once keeps it online with no guest limit.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase.
2. One-time payment
- Keeping an invitation costs US $39, paid once. Each additional invitation on the same account is US $19.
- There are no renewals, hosting fees, per-guest fees or hidden charges. If a price changes in the future it applies only to new purchases.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Where sales tax applies it is shown at checkout.
- Refunds follow our Refund policy: a full refund within 14 days if the invitation was never published to guests.
3. Our lifetime hosting promise
A paid invitation stays online for as long as we operate the service, without further payment. We intend that to be a very long time.
One honest caveat: if we ever have to discontinue the service, we will email every account holder at least 90 days before shutdown and offer an export of your invitation content, guest list and RSVPs during that period. We will not simply switch it off.
4. Your account
You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email; there is no password. Keep that mailbox secure — anyone who can read it can open your dashboard. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your email address current so we can reach you.
5. Your content
- Everything you upload stays yours. You give us a licence to store, process and display it only to deliver the service to you and your guests.
- You confirm you have the right to use the photos, videos, music and text you upload, including the permission of the people who appear in them.
- We may take down content that breaks these terms or the law, after telling you why.
6. Guest data is your responsibility
When you add guests — names, phone numbers, email addresses, RSVPs — you are the data controller and we process that data on your behalf, as described in our Privacy policy. You confirm that you have a lawful basis to use those details (in practice: they are your relatives and friends and you are inviting them to your event), that you will use the guest list only for the event, and that you will honour any guest who asks to be removed. We will help with any such request.
7. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- upload content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- use invitations or guest links to send spam, scams or unsolicited marketing;
- impersonate another person or event;
- probe, overload, scrape, or try to break the service or other people's invitations.
If you do, we may suspend or delete the account, and no refund is owed beyond what the law requires.
8. Third-party services
Payments run through Stripe; map links open Google Maps; sharing buttons open Zalo, WhatsApp, Messenger or your SMS app. Those services have their own terms, and we cannot control changes they make.
9. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep invitations online around the clock, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted. We may improve templates and features over time; your content is stored separately from any template, so switching or updating a template never deletes what you wrote.
10. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or how third-party apps and guests' devices will display your invitation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits, missed RSVPs, or a guest who did not receive a link. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits; in that case they apply only as far as the law permits.
12. Indemnity
You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content, your guest list, or your breach of these terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Louisiana, and both of us consent to their jurisdiction; either party may instead bring an eligible claim in small-claims court.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Material changes are emailed to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms: invites@invite-app.hostingersite.com or the contact form.
Optional YouTube songs
Added 8 September 2026
Our optional popular-song feature uses the official YouTube player. By choosing to load or use that player, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and our privacy disclosure. Songs are streamed by YouTube; we do not supply downloadable copies or permission to reuse the recordings elsewhere.
Availability depends on the video owner, your region, device and YouTube. A song may contain ads or become unavailable. The player stays visible while playing, and you can use the Open on YouTube link if embedded playback is unavailable. Existing instrumental choices remain available.
