Templates and switching between them
Your words, photos and guests are stored separately from the design, so you can change templates any time.
What a template is
A template is the design: colours, type, the opening animation, how the ceremonies and photos are laid out. Your content — names, families, story, ceremonies, photos, gift box, guest list, RSVPs — is stored on its own. That is why switching is safe.
Templates differ in what they use. Lacquer is deep red and gold with an envelope opening and a video hero; Porcelain is white and moss green with a still photo and no video; Garden is built around golden-hour photographs. New templates are added over time; each one's page shows what it supports (video, music, gallery) and a live demo.
Switching
- Open your invitation in the dashboard and choose Template.
- Pick the new design and save. That is all — the same link now shows the new template.
- Open Preview and scroll through once: a template that uses a video hero will fall back to its own artwork if you have not uploaded one, and a template without a gallery simply skips your gallery photos.
You can switch as often as you like, before and after paying, and guests always see the latest version at the same address.
Previewing before you commit
Every template has a demo at /templates/<name>/demo that shows a sample couple. Your own preview (the Preview button in the dashboard) has switches for language and for the elder / friend tone, so you can check how each kind of guest will see it.
