Personal links and who sees which ceremony

Two kinds of link

Your invitation has one public link (shown on the Overview and Share pages) and one personal link per party (on the Guests page, with a QR button next to each). The public link is for a poster, a QR on paper cards or a group announcement: it shows the ceremonies marked for everyone, in English, and asks guests to reply from their personal link. The personal link is the one you send to people: it greets the party by name, uses their chosen tone, shows exactly their ceremonies and carries their RSVP.

Ceremony audience

When you create a ceremony you choose its audience: Everyone or Family only. Typical: the tea ceremony and the ancestral rites are family only; the reception is for everyone.

Who sees what — the default rule

• Parties with the Elder tone see every ceremony, including family-only ones.
• Parties with the Friend tone see only the ceremonies marked for everyone.

A ceremony a party cannot see is also one it cannot RSVP to, so headcounts stay clean.

Exceptions per party

Some households do not fit the rule — a close friend who is invited to the tea ceremony, an elderly relative who will only come to the reception. Edit that party and tick the exact ceremonies under Ceremonies. From then on that list is what the party sees and may answer, whatever its tone.

If you tick exactly what the rule would give, we store no exception; the party keeps following the rule, so a ceremony you add later reaches it automatically. If you ticked a custom set, remember to revisit it when you add a new ceremony.

Checking how a party sees it

Open the party's link yourself, or use the Preview button and its tone switch. Your own previews are never counted as views.
